Table Settings

Each table has its own settings area, opened via the Settings button on the table dashboard or the cog icon next to the table in the left navigation. Settings are organised into four panels: Structure, User Interface, Automations, and Advanced.

Panels

PanelSections
StructureFields
User InterfaceForms, Reports, Dashboards
AutomationsEmails, Webhooks
AdvancedProperties, Maintenance

Each list section (Fields, Forms, Reports, Dashboards, Emails, Webhooks) offers view, edit, and duplicate actions, plus an Add button for creating new items. Emails and webhooks fire on table activity and are reviewed under Application Settings → Advanced → Job Logs.

Properties

The Properties section (Advanced panel) configures the table itself. The same form appears when creating a table, with these sections available when editing:

Basics

SettingWhat it does
Table IconThe table's icon in menus and lists
Table NameThe table's unique name within the application; renaming the table is done here
Singular NounThe singular display label used on buttons, menus, and record titles
Plural NounThe plural display label
Table DescriptionAn optional description

UI Settings

SettingWhat it does
Default DashboardThe dashboard shown when the table is opened and no role default applies
Default FormThe form used when a record is opened and no role default applies

Form Settings

SettingWhat it does
Record LabelThe field shown as a record's display name
Record PickerThe fields shown when picking a record in a relationship

Report Settings

SettingWhat it does
Default Search TypeLike or Lexeme matching for searches on the table
Default ColumnsThe columns shown in search results by default
Global QueryAn optional query that filters every view of the table

Advanced Settings

SettingWhat it does
Data RulesAn SQL rule evaluated per record at the database level; when the rule doesn't return true the operation is rejected. Use it for record-level constraints that must hold no matter how a record is created or edited

Maintenance

The Maintenance section (Advanced panel) keeps a table healthy and manages its data:

OperationWhat it does
Analyze VacuumDatabase maintenance; the application may be slow while it runs
Rebuild IndexesRebuilds the table's indexes; same performance caveat
Generate Fake DataFills the table with 1,000 rows of sample data, connecting relationships to random parent rows; useful for testing
Delete DataEmpties the table without deleting the table itself, with an option to restart auto-incrementing fields
Dehydrate Data / Hydrate DataMoves data in and out of the table's storage
Delete TableDeletes the table; requires typing delete table to confirm
