Users
The Users page in Application Settings lets you invite people to your application and control which role each user has. Roles determine what users can see and do; see Permissions for details on roles and access control.
Managing users requires an application where your role has admin access or the Can Invite permission (see Permissions).
Where users live
Open Application Settings → Users (or hover a menu item, click its cog icon, and choose Settings → Users). From here you can see all users who have been invited to the application, their status, and their assigned role.
Inviting users
- Go to Application Settings → Users.
- Click Invite User.
- Enter the person's email address.
- Assign them a role from the role dropdown.
- Send the invitation.
If the person is new to High Systems, they receive two emails: first a message to set up their High Systems user account (they must click that link first), and second an email with a link to the application. If the person already has a High Systems account, they receive one email with a link to the application.
Invited users appear in the user list with a pending status until they accept the invitation.
Assigning and changing roles
Each user has exactly one role. To change a user's role:
- Go to Application Settings → Users.
- Select the user from the list.
- Change their role in the user details.
- Save your changes.
Only roles available in the application can be assigned. Role permissions are defined under Permissions.
Removing users
To remove a user from an application:
- Go to Application Settings → Users.
- Select the user.
- Remove or delete them from the application.
Removing a user revokes their access to that application; they will no longer be able to sign in or see its data.
